Here are the ingredients for an easy, popular 5-star recipe from the Food Network's collection; healthy, no doubt.

  • 1 head cauliflower (about 2 pounds), cut into bite-size florets (about 8 cups)
  • 1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
  • 5 cloves garlic, roughly chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper
  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 2 teaspoons roughly chopped fresh thyme leaves

And here's the Ayala's Magic Spice version's ingredient list:

  • 1 head cauliflower (about 2 pounds), cut into bite-size florets (about 8 cups)
  • 1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil

  • 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt

The Nutrition bump with Ayala's Magic Spice

Iron: Up by 250%.

This small side dish now contains  almost the entire daily need of Thiamin, Riboflavin, B6, It is now a good Source of Vitamin A -- which it had none of before.

It contains 20% of daily need of B12.

Selenium: Up 300%.

And because it's now deeply flavored, we needed less salt, and sodium is reduced to less than a 1/3 of original recipe.
