Potatoes are so comforting!

Let's take a recipe that's quite healthy -- of the non-fried denomination. Here's the ingredient list from Ina Garten's recipe. Warm recommendation: Barefoot Contessa's recipes are almost foolproof, and she really has tried them many times before committing them to print. 

  • 4 large baking potatoes, unpeeled
  • 4 tablespoons good olive oil
  • 1  1/2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 3/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon minced fresh garlic
  • 1 teaspoon minced fresh rosemary leaves

For the magic spice version we reduce the salt, and add Ayala's Magic Spice like we mean it.

  • 4 large baking potatoes, unpeeled
  • 4 tablespoons good olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoons fine sea salt
  • 3/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon minced fresh garlic
  • 1 teaspoon minced fresh rosemary leaves
  • 5 tablespoons Ayala's Magic Spice

The Magic Spiced potatoes taste great, and are dramatically more nutritious:

The nutrition bump with Ayala's Magic Spice

Iron: Up by 200%.

Protein: Up by 150% (all added protein is complete protein -- which contains all essential amino acids).

This dish contains almost the entire daily need of Thiamin, Riboflavin, B6, It is now a good Source of Vitamin A -- which it had none of before.

It contains 20% of daily need of B12.

Selenium: 6% of daily need.

And because it's now deeply flavored, we needed less salt, and sodium is reduced to 1/5 of the original recipe.
