Spices

Our ancestors went crazy over spices. Wars were waged, explorers parted with family and home to travel perilous seas in their search, and royalty paid their weight in gold.

Why are spices so important? They elevate everyday food into the extraordinary with rich, complex flavors, they bring other worlds to the table, and although modern medicine has replaced spices and herbs they are still an important part of healthy nutrition. Spices contain many phenolic and terpene compounds, and are an antioxidant powerhouse.

This innovative, freshly ground spice mix includes turmeric, known for its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant activity, black pepper that aids turmeric absorption and cayenne, known for its health benefits.
